Fully furnished and equipped apartments – Temporary rentals

Temporary rental means that an apartment with certain characteristics is rented for certain period of time, at a pre-established rate, and guests are given a set of keys.

This system offers guests certain advantages over staying at a hotel, which include more privacy, space and home comforts, at affordable rates. Different locations in the city can be chosen on the basis of personal preferences. We hope that guests are comfortable in the apartment they have rented.

However, guests should be aware that renting an apartment is not the same as staying at a hotel since, first and foremost, apartments share common spaces with other apartments where people live on a regular basis and guests are expected to behave accordingly in respect of the apartment and their neighbors.

Bookings:

1. Bookings can be made via email or by phone.

2. The booking process starts upon reception of requests. Guests will be asked to provide:

a) advance payment of 18% of total fee

b) guest information to prepare the voucher

3. Once the 18% advance payment has been confirmed and the relevant information has been received, bookings become effective and vouchers are sent to guests.

This 18% advance payment can be made in cash, by bank transfer (in Argentina) or credit card (from our offices).

Checking in:

A staff member of Al Sol Baires or the owner of the apartment will welcome guests at the apartment at a pre-arranged time to collect the voucher and show guests the apartment and how things work.

The inventory will be checked to confirm that all items offered are present and fit for use. The inventory list includes prices for all items in the apartment.

Then the lease agreement will be signed and the full rental fee paid in advance, plus a security deposit of 50% of the total rental fee (or an amount over US$150, which will be returned when guests check out). For stays over 2 months long, the security deposit will be an amount equivalent to the rent one month.

The full stay and the security deposit must be paid CASH when guests check in.

No credit cards, travelers’ checks or personal checks will be accepted in the apartment.

Please remember that guests will not be given the keys to the apartment unless the security deposit and the full stay have been paid when they check in. We do not own the apartments, we only rent them and we can make no exceptions.

Check-in time is 1:00 pm

There’s no additional charge for early check-in if guests arrive before 1:00 pm and the apartment is available. If the apartment is not available, guests will have to wait until the 1:00 pm check-in time. If guests expect to arrive before 1:00 pm and want to make sure the apartment will be available, booking an additional day will ensure availability of the apartment the day before their arrival.

Regular check-in hours are Mondays through Fridays between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm. An additional charge of US$10 will apply to check-in at other times or days, including national holidays.

Waiting time at the apartment is one hour and a half after the time agreed with guests. Please let as know of any delays as soon as possible.

Checking out

A staff member of Al Sol Baires or the owner of the apartment will meet guests at the apartment at the pre-arranged time.

The inventory will be checked once again, making sure that the apartment is in the same condition as it was at check-in and that everything works properly.

If everything is in order, the security deposit will be refunded in full.

In the event of any breakages, damage or missing items, the pertinent amount will be deducted from the security deposit, and guests will be refunded any remaining balance.

Check-out time is 10:00 am

There’s no additional charge for late check-out if there are no bookings in respect of the apartment (check-out time should be arranged with the staff of Al Sol Baires), otherwise guests will be asked to check out at 10:00 am. If guests expect to leave after 10:00 am and want to make sure the apartment will be available, booking an additional day will ensure availability of the apartment the day of their departure.

Canceling a booking

In the event of cancellation of bookings:

30 days’ notice or more: any amounts paid in excess of 18% of the stay will be refunded. This 18% will be paid to the apartment owner as compensation.

Under 30 days’ notice or shortened stay: no refunds will be given for amounts paid for rental or booking.

If for any reason the apartment that has been rented becomes unavailable prior to arrival of guests, Al Sol Baires may offer:

a) a similar apartment at a similar cost,

b) to refund all amounts paid.

Useful information:

• Al Sol Baires only rents the apartments posted on our site. Our company is not responsible for any changes made by the owners in the apartments.
• Temporary lease agreements cannot be extended, they have an initial date and an end date.
• Only the 18% advance payment can be made by credit card or bank deposit. Payment of the balance of your stay and the security deposit must be paid CASH when you check in. No credit cards, travelers’ checks or personal checks are accepted in the apartment.
• Rates are stated in United States dollars. Any currency conversion will be calculated at the then current exchange rate as published by www.dolarhoy.com.ar.
• Guests must provide their names, passport or identity document number, age and address, and exhibit an identity document that proves accuracy of the information provided.
• Apartments must be vacated clean and in the same conservation condition they were in at arrival. Otherwise, the staff of Al Sol Baires in charge of check-out will deduct AR$30 from the security deposit as cleaning charge.
• The apartment owner and Al Sol Baires reserve the right of admission.
• Agreement to use our services shall constitute agreement and acceptance of our General Terms and Conditions published in our Web site.
• If you are in disagreement with these General Terms and Conditions, you are kindly asked not to use our services.
